Prologue

THROUGH GOOD AND BAD, we collected all the Horsemen’s rings and stopped the apocalypse from happening. Lucifer and Michael were tossed into the Cage, where they would remain for eternity. No more fights on the chosen battlefield. Our job was done. We sacrificed not only ourselves—but, apparently, my unborn child. But in the end, we won.

On the other hand… what if that wasn’t the end of the apocalypse? What if we were wrong? What if the apocalypse was so much more than Lucifer and Michael’s prize fight?

After all, apocalypse means “to uncover” or “to reveal.”

We weren’t done with the apocalypse. We were just starting. The only problem was—we didn’t know this…
